Finlandia Homecoming set for October 3-5, 2019

Finlandia’s Homecoming 2019 date has officially been set. Student activities will take place beginning the week of September 30, with specialized alumni events October 3-5.

Leading the Pride stays close to home with Robin Meneguzzo, NP (’11)

Leading the Pride keeps it close to home this month with local alumna, Robin Meneguzzo, NP (‘11). Meneguzzo is a Hancock native who graduated from FinnU with a degree in nursing. She went on to pursue her Master’s degree online from the University of Cincinnati. Adam Huey (’07) Leading the Pride at Siemens in California

Finlandia’s alumni podcast Leading the Pride is back this month with Adam Huey (’07). Huey, who is originally from Folsom, Calif. and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing, now serves as a Senior Commercial Project Manager for Siemens. Siemens is a multi-national and multi-billion dollar organization that specializes in electrification, digitization and automation. Finlandia Fridays prepares to give thanks with Olivia Myers

Coordinator of External Relations Olivia Myers dropped by Finlandia Fridays this week to discuss an exciting event that will be taking place November 27- Giving Tuesday.

“Giving Tuesday is a result of combatting the idea of spending for the holidays by donating to the non-profit of your choice,” stated Myers. Finlandia donors can triple their gifts made on Giving Tuesday thanks to two matches

Finlandia donors can triple their gifts this Giving Tuesday, as the university will have two matching incentives:

A member of the Board of Trustees has agreed to match all donations dollar for dollar that are made on Giving Tuesday, up to $20,000.

Finlandia is also participating in Facebook’s Giving Tuesday program, in which they will match the first $7 million donated that day.

All donations received this Giving Tuesday will go toward FinnU’s annual scholarship programs to help [...]

Finlandia Alumni Board calls for new members, sets annual meeting for September 28-29

The Finlandia Alumni Board (FAB) is accepting nominations for new members. Interested alumni can self-nominate by emailing Olivia Myers at olivia.myers@finlandia.edu with their name and a few sentences of why they would like to be involved by September 17.

As an advisory group to the university, the mission of the FAB is “the promotion of the vision, mission, goals and programs of Finlandia University.” The goals of the FAB include advising the President and Board of Trustees of [...]
