Finlandia Admissions collaborating with U.P. high schools

Finlandia’s admissions team is hitting the road in the Upper Peninsula this fall with 60 high school visits planned in 60 days. The campaign named none other than “60 in 60” sets out to engage with students in their classrooms with sessions covering personal and professional development, career planning, FAFSA Q&A’s and many other topics revolving around student development.

Growth at Finlandia, largest incoming class in five years

This fall, Finlandia University’s overall enrollment grew by six percent with the on-campus student population increasing by nine percent. This full-time-equivalent growth brought 25 more students to campus than in fall 2020, giving Finlandia an enrollment of 430. The fall 2021 incoming class is the largest since 2016 with Finlandia’s International School of Business realizing an all-time high of 137 degree-seeking majors. Visiting Scholarship deadline August 1

Available until August 1, 2021, Finlandia University is offering a $1,000 Visiting Scholarship for both in-person and virtual visitors. FinnU has approachable professors, friendly students, spacious dorm rooms, a sun-filled café and a gorgeous location that are all awaiting you.

Preparing for the job hunt: students experience employment search through mock job search and interviews

During the 2021 spring semester, the International School of Business collaborated with Finlandia’s new Seaton Center for Vocation & Career to equip graduating seniors with the skills they need to prepare competitive job applications and interview successfully. Fall 2021 Hancock Promise recipients announced

Through an educational collaboration between Finlandia University and Hancock Central High School, the Hancock Promise allows for Hancock Central High School graduates to attend Finlandia University at a tuition cost of up to only $2,500 per school year. Hancock Central held their graduation ceremony Saturday, May 29, following a senior parade that proceeded down Quincy Street. Finlandia University is extending its $1,000 Visiting Scholarship deadline to August 1, 2021. This scholarship is only available to first-time full-time students in good standing at the University entering Fall 2021. To receive this award, visits must be scheduled through the admissions office.

Finlandia is currently offering a virtual and in-person option for campus visits. Both qualify for the $1000 Visiting Scholarship.

FAFSA deadline extended to May 1 for MI aid

Treasury MI providing Virtual College Financial Aid Nights throughout Feb.

Students and families looking for help paying for college are encouraged to register for a Virtual College Financial Aid Night provided by Treasury’s MI Student Aid team. Sessions will be available every Tuesday and Thursday evening during the month of February from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. EST.

Participants will be able to gather information on the following financial aid topics:
