Local health sciences students receive Portage Health Foundation Scholarship

Small communities need the support of its healers. With the Portage Health Foundation Scholarship, local students are given tuition aid to encourage them to go into the health sciences and in the hopes that they will remain in or return to the Upper Peninsula for their careers.

James Brey takes new role as Financial Aid Counselor

James Brey to transition from Enrollment Officer to Financial Aid Counselor

 

Finlandia University is pleased to announce that James Brey is transitioning to the role of Financial Aid Counselor in the Office of Financial Aid.

Business department adds pair of key faculty members

FInlandia University is pleased to welcome Laura Sieders and Paul Werner to their new positions in the International School of Business.

Sieders, who has served as FinnU’s Adjunct Professor in Intermediate Accounting for the past two years, will become the new Instructor of Accounting. Werner will be the Assistant Professor in Marketing.

Both will begin in their new roles in August.

Finlandia now offers priority registration for transfer students

As part of its commitment to be a transfer-friendly leader, Finlandia University enacted a new policy this spring that allows students transferring into the university to have priority registration.

“Finlandia recognizes that transfer students have specific scheduling needs and this policy aims to keep those students on track to degree completion in the shortest time possible,” Dean of Students Erin Barnett said.
