Introducing FinnU’s New Dean of Enrollment, Anthony Schwass

April 17, 2020

On this week’s episode of Finlandia Fridays host, Anastazia Hartman is joined by Finlandia’s new Dean of Enrollment Anthony Schwass to discuss his goals, the new lower deposit rate, summer courses and more.

Schwass who recently joined the Finlandia family shared what this lower deposit rate means for incoming students during this time of uncertainty.

“We are facing a great level of unpredictability in the coming weeks and perhaps months due to the COVID-19 situation,” said Schwass. “The team at Finlandia wanted to help incoming students and their families as much as we possibly could considering the reality that resources and finances are a major concern for many of them. That is why we reduced the deposit form $200 to $50.  That is one of the ways we continue to dedicate ourselves to providing affordable higher education.

“What that means for the students that paid $200, it balances out the same way for everyone in the end because the deposit amount is directly applied to their Fall 2020 bill so the students that have deposited $200 dollars will simply have bills that are $150 less than students who have deposited $50.”

Students who are interested in learning more about FinnU can still tour campus with a virtual campus tour, set up through the admissions office. When a student’s online visit and tour are complete that student can earn the $1,000 Visiting Campus Scholarship, which is awarded to first-time, full-time incoming freshmen in good standing.

Those students who are interested in taking classes this summer to get ahead on their degree, continue their education or looking to get a feel of what FinnU has to offer should be aware that currently, summer classes are over 65% off! Classes for Summer 2020 are now $250/credit hour.
