Finlandia University students, alumni, staff, faculty and friends are invited to join the Copper Country community on Saturday as they vote for the Calumet Colosseum to be named Hockeyville USA 2019. Voting at krafthockeyville.com opens Saturday, March 30 at 7 a.m. (EDT), and ends Sunday, March 31 at 11 a.m. (EDT). The grand prize winner will be announced that day.
The Calumet Colosseum is the oldest still-in-use indoor ice arena in the world. Both our men’s and women’s hockey teams have played games in the arena over the years, and many students, staff and faculty have family who play at the arena throughout the winter. This year the arena has been named one of four finalists for Kraft Hockeyville USA! Voting takes place over 28 hours this weekend starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, and the winning arena wins $150,000 in arena upgrades and gets to host an NHL pre-season game this fall.
Be sure to vote early, and spread the word to everyone in your social circle to get them out and voting so we can bring the title of Hockeyville USA back to the U.P.Tags: Calumet Colosseum
