Finlandia University is pleased to welcome Cindy Blake, NP, to its nursing faculty as an assistant professor. Blake previously worked at Finlandia as an assistant professor of nursing from 2002 to 2005.
“It is wonderful to have Cindy back with our nursing program,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Fredi de Yampert. “I’ve known and worked with Cindy for years. The students will benefit greatly from her vast nursing experiences and caring personality. She will be an asset to the program.”
Blake, a Kansas native, earned her RN, BSN and MSN from the University of Kansas. She’s worked in a number of nursing positions in Kansas, Tennessee, Michigan and Pennsylvania throughout her career. She most recently worked as a nurse practitioner at the Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center in Hancock.
“There are so many things that make Finlandia a great place to get your education and to be a part of,” said Blake. “I have a very strong Lutheran-based faith and feel strongly about the university’s mission. I am able to give each student the support he/she needs in my class. It is a wonderful feeling to be a part of each success.”
Blake is teaching Nursing 320 Maternal Child Nursing this fall and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.Tags: Cindy Blake, College of Health Sciences, Dr. Fredi de Yampert, New Hires, Nursing
