Devin O’Neill joins marketing and communications staff at Finlandia University

The marketing and communications office at Finlandia University welcomed Devin O’Neill to its team this fall as the new Marketing Coordinator.

“We’re beyond excited about what Devin brings to the team,” Director of Marketing & Communications Michael H. Babcock said. “He brings in the kind of upbeat attitude and can-do work ethic that we need to continue progress in our marketing and communications efforts.”

O’Neill comes to Finlandia after completing internships at AFC Ann Arbor, USA Hockey and IHA Healthcare. He earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Eastern Michigan University and Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of Finlandia’s marketing and communications team,” O’Neill said. “Academia has played such a pivotal role in my life and now I have the opportunity to inform others of the great possibilities that come with higher education.”

O’Neill is playing a leading role at the university with e-mail newsletters, website content and direct marketing efforts with a focus on improving new student enrollment.

Outside of Work, O’Neill is passionate about silent sports such as skiing and mountain biking. He plans to spend much of the winter exploring Mount Bohemia.

“I’ve always loved the outdoors,” O’Neill said. “The Keweenaw provides exceptional recreation opportunities that I can’t wait to try out.”
