Marie Bonenfant Moves Back to Financial Aid

Marie Bonenfant (‘13) recently moved back to the Financial Aid office of Finlandia University as a Financial Aid Counselor.

She worked in the Financial Aid Office previously, then moved over to North Wind Books for a short time, but is now working as a Financial Aid Counselor once again.

Finlandia is excited to launch its new Fall 2020 web pages just in time for the new semester. Students, employees and community members can conveniently find information as it pertains to their group on the new pages. Textbook Buyback will be at North Wind Books on the campus of Finlandia University beginning Tuesday, February 25. This is an opportunity for students to get top dollar back for textbooks after they’re done using them. Mark Munger to visit North Wind Books January 25

On Saturday, January 25 author of “Suomalaiset“, Mark Munger will be visiting North Wind Books for a book signing and author discussion.

Munger recently released the final book in his historical trilogy, Kotimaa. In his new release, readers follow immigrant Anders Alhomaki on his journey from Finland to Minnesota in the 1890s to Finland’s Centennial Independence Day.

Katya Gordon of Sea Change Expeditions will be the featured author for the 2019 Finlandia University Campus Read.

CUB Club is Back at North Wind Books for Summer 2019

North Wind Books is excited to bring CUB Club back for summer 2019, running on Mondays starting July 8. 

This four-part series of events will highlight unique children’s books, each feature a special guest host and a unique theme. Children will also be invited to participate in a craft during the event. 

Events are free, open to the public and no RSVP is required. Each event begins at 11 a.m.

Going Global with Ponsse Chairman Juha Vidgrén

Guest host Briana Gorman was visited on Finlandia Fridays this week by Juha Vidgrén, chairman of the board for Ponsse. Ponsse is a Finnish-based company that builds logging equipment.
