Ceramics Major, Ramona Kuhn, named 2021 Student Representative

With graduation less than a month away, the Class of 2021 Student Representative, Ramona Kuhn, caught up with host Olivia Myers to talk about her time at Finlandia.

Finlandia Announces Hybrid In-Person Commencement on April 29

Finlandia University’s 2021 Spring Commencement will take place on Thursday, April 29 at 6 p.m. in the Hirvonen Health Sciences Building Auditorium. As a safety precaution against the COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony will be in-person, but will be limited to graduating students, honor recipients and Finlandia faculty. The event will be live-streamed and recorded for family viewing.

Finlandia Graduates 81 Students during Virtual Commencement Ceremony

The Finlandia University Class of 2020, had a graduation ceremony unlike any other. Yesterday, May 21st at 6 p.m. the 81 students that make up the graduating class were conferred their degrees in a virtual ceremony.

Finlandia University is honoring its graduating class with a religious farewell service. This year’s Baccalaureate will be much different than in previous years. Due to social distancing guidelines, this year’s Baccalaureate will be held virtually from the Chapel of Saint Matthew on Sunday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m.

Nicholas Tobey Elected as 2020 Student Representative

The 2020 Finlandia University graduating class will have a celebration unlike any other. Although the May 21st commencement ceremony will not be in person like previous years, but a virtual ceremony instead, the graduating class will still hear from their student representative, Nicholas Tobey. It’s graduation season at FinnU! Student representative, Haley Makela stopped by Finlandia Fridays this week to talk about her experiences as an active member on campus. Featuring guest host Monica Freeman, the two soon-to-be-graduates discussed their excitement to graduate. “I’m very thankful to be done,” remarked Makela, “it’s been a long four years.”
