Nursing Pinning (Closed to the Public)
As the school year winds down, Melissa Helppi dropped by to share some of her experiences during her time at Finlandia. Finlandia University is proud to announce MTEC SmartZone CEO Marilyn Clark will be the 2018 Commencement Speaker during commencement exercises on Sunday, April 29 at the Paavo Nurmi Center.
“Marilyn is a believer. She believes in people, their ideas, and the enduring positive change they are able to bring to the U.P., Michigan and around the world,” FinnU President Philip Johnson said. “She is a hopeful, positive human being who also knows a lot about business.”
For more than 30 years Kathleen Harmon (’86) has been an innovative leader in the nursing field, a story thousands of alumni and friends of the university read about in the school’s magazine, the Bridge, last fall. Now, she’ll be sharing that story with the Class of 2018 as the Alumni Speaker for this weekend’s commencement ceremony.
