Nick Tobey Selected as Ponsse Intern for 2019

Tobey is the fifth intern to be selected for Finlandia’s exclusive internship

Finlandia University is pleased to announce that Nick Tobey has been chosen as the 2019 Ponsse Eineri Vidgrén Foundation intern.

Going International with Director of Global Initiatives Cat Fuller

Finlandia Fridays crosses borders this week with Director of Global Initiatives Cat Fuller. Member of the FinnU family since September, Fuller describes her job as “dealing with everything international.” Fuller deals with international recruitment, study abroad, and assisting faculty members who want to run their own programs abroad or do research abroad.

Fuller’s first semester saw her overseas, visiting China, the Netherlands and Finland. In China, Fuller visited area high schools to recruit students and attended a fair in Beijing. [...]

Soup and Salad fundraiser for Service and Learning in Tanzania returns March 2

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock is set to host the annual Soup and Salad Lunch as well as the silent auction fundraiser for this year’s Service and Learning in Tanzania experience for Finlandia University students.

Who loves the Kalevala? We love the Kalevala! Kalevalathon comes to Finlandia February 28

Join students and faculty in celebration of Kalevala Day, also known as the Day of Finnish Culture, for the inaugural Kalevalathon on Thursday, February 28 from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Finnish American Heritage Center. The participants from Finlandia University’s Finnish & Nordic Studies Program will be performing a 5.5-hour marathon reading of Kalevala.

Haaga-Helia Summer 2020

JAMK University Summer 2019

JAMK University of Applied Sciences is one of Finlandia University’s partner institutions whereby the university has a one-on-one relationship and formal agreement signed between our two institutions.

Each year the JAMK Summer School Summer School programme Leadership, Communication and Tourism is from May 31 to June 19. It attracts approximately 100 students from countries like Argentina, Mexico, USA, Canada, Singapore, China, Russia and other European countries.
