Finlandia to celebrate Finland’s Independence

As it has each year since the country became independent 99 years ago, Finlandia University will celebrate Finland’s Independence Day with a program of music and theatre on Tuesday, December 6, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Finnish American Heritage Center.

Finnish exchange student gets chance with FinnU football team

Though he’s a native of the country known for ice hockey and other winter sports, Max Poikonen chose a different path – one that led him to the roster of the football team of Finlandia University. Heritage Center to offer Finnish classes

In the coming year, Finland will celebrate its centennial, and what better way to celebrate with them than to speak the language of our forefathers? That’s why Finlandia University’s Finnish American Heritage Center (FAHC) is offering a pair of Finnish classes to provide folks with an opportunity to learn the basics of the language, or to brush up on their existing skills.

Finlandia University launches new website

The Finlandia University Marketing and Communications Department is proud to announce the launch of a new website. The website went live Thursday, June 2 at finlandia.edu.
