This week Finlandia Fridays celebrated the airing of its 50th episode with leaders of a new group on campus, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Finlandia Fridays was visited this week by musician Jonathan Rundman. Rundman is the musician in residence this year for Heikinpäivä. Originally from Ishpeming, Rundman currently lives in the Twin Cities and makes a living off being a singer-songwriter. Rundman stated that he always wanted to be a musician, even when he was little, and was glad his career kick started in the 90’s, before streaming was around. Men’s hockey coach Joe Burcar stopped by Finlandia Fridays this week to talk about home games, new recruits and upgrades to Houghton County Arena. New head football coach Rob Boss came to chat about the future of Finlandia University football this week on Finlandia Fridays. Boss stated “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here,” when asked about his Finlandia experience thus far. Boss joined Finlandia’s staff last fall as an assistant, and was promoted to head coach on November 6.
