Michigan’s FAFSA priority deadline extended to May 1

Michigan high school seniors who want to be given priority consideration for State of Michigan financial aid programs now have extra time to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid, according to the Michigan Department of Treasury. Applications are now being accepted for the Virginia Fund Scholarship, which is open to all freshman women at Finlandia University. The scholarship, typically $250-500 is awarded based on academic achievement and contribution to campus life. Applications Open for 2022 Samuel L. Westerman Scholarship for Nursing

Nursing students heading into their junior or senior year with a GPA between 3.00 to 3.49 may be eligible for the Samuel L. Westerman Scholarship for Nursing. Application deadline for the scholarship is Monday, March 07.

The amount of scholarships and money awarded will depend on the quantity and quality of applications. Students who want to be considered for renewal must file a new application each year, and will be given equal consideration with other candidates.
