Registration details for spring classes have been released, and the Spring 2023 class schedule is viewable on Empower. Students must communicate with their academic advisor to receive their PIN. This number has been refreshed and is different from the one you would have used to sign up last semester. You can email your advisor as a form of communication at this time to work out your course schedule and to receive your PIN.

Finlandia University has posted its Federal Work-Study Program student job openings for the 2022-23 school year. The program, led by Marie Bonenfant, is administered and coordinated by the Office of Financial Aid and Human Resources. Finlandia receives funds each year from the federal government to administer the program and pay the students. The program encourages community service and work related to the student’s course of study whenever possible.

Financial Aid Form (FAFSA)
Students seeking financial aid must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA application can be completed on-line at fafsa.ed.gov. Federal and/or state financial aid programs also use the information provided by the FAFSA.

The Finlandia Alumni Board is hosting its fourth Giving Day on June 14, 2022. The day is dedicated to raising money to help students pay for textbooks.
In 2021, the FAB helped 49 students with their textbooks and was able to help fund two student support initiatives by donating to Finlandia’s Textbook Justice Library and North Wind Books. Applications are now being accepted for the Portage Health Foundation Scholarship opportunity to Finlandia University students studying healthcare and coming from Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga or Ontonagon counties. The scholarship can be awarded to the same person for up to four years.
This scholarship is open to returning and incoming FinnU students.
