Donations are still being accepted for The Table: A Student Needs Pantry located in the Chapel of St. Matthew. They can be dropped off at the Campus Pastor’s Office in the basement of the chapel at anytime.

On Tuesday, September 13 Finlandia University Campus Ministry will host the inaugural Second Tuesday Recital Series featuring poetry, music, dancing and acting in Finlandia’s Chapel of St. Matthew. The event will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

At 5 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month Finlandia University Campus Ministry will be hosting Soup & Meet at Chapel of St. Matthew. This is a great opportunity to gather with your peers at the university, as well as enjoy delicious soup and refreshments. Welcome, staff and faculty, to another great school year at Finlandia University. It takes a village to work together in helping to greet,build up, encourage, lift up, educate and develop our students as we all walk along with them in their development as a whole person for their whole life.
The Chapel and the office of the Chaplain are open to all (employees and students) for centering and discussion. Reminder that the Chaplain’s office remains a confidential office.
As we look to begin another year, we also look to continue serving those in need. “The Table: A student needs pantry” is looking on the light side, and is in need of immediate donations to begin the school year to assist with our student’s needs in many and various ways.

Campus community is invited to attend the celebration
Finlandia University Campus Pastor Soren Schmidt will soon be Rev. Soren Schmidt, Campus Pastor as he goes through the final steps of his calling to become ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Schmidt will be ordained Sunday at 3 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Anyone interested in attending is invited. Below is information Soren has provided on the calling:
