Finlandia starts Alpha Lambda Delta honor society chapter

10 students inducted during formal installation of program Monday

Monday night 10 Finlandia University students were inducted as charter members of the Finlandia University chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) during the school’s formal installation of the new program.

Joining students, faculty and staff from Finlandia at the installation was ALD National President Dr. Susan Huffman. Huffman, who works at Purdue University, presided over the ceremony.

Finlandia’s business school ranked among most innovative small college business departments

Finlandia University’s International School of Business has been ranked among the most innovative small college business departments by Business Research Guide. The ranking was published on the organization’s website in September. Business Research Guide selected and ranked the top 50 from among the qualifying programs. Finlandia University was ranked 25th.

“We’re honored to have earned this recognition,” said Kevin Manninen, the school’s dean. “The International School of Business provides excellent learning opportunities for students interested in a career in business.”

115 earn spot on spring 2015 dean’s and honors list

32 students earn perfect 4.00 mark

Finlandia University is proud to announce that 115 students have earned dean’s or honors list recognition because of their impressive academic achievements during the spring 2015 semester. That includes 78 students on the dean’s list with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or above, and 32 who earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.

$3,000 scholarships available for new RN-BSN students

The College of Health Sciences at Finlandia University has three $3,000-per-year scholarships available for incoming students in the RN-BSN program. These scholarships are available immediately. Apply now.

Business students competing in THE Project 2015

For the first time this year Finlandia University is participating in THE Project, a project management competition sponsored by the Western Michigan Chapter of the Project Management Institute. The first phase was completed in late February with Finlandia scoring the second most points in its division.

Finlandia announces fall 2014 dean’s and honors list

Finlandia University is proud to announce its fall 2014 dean’s and honors list. The list includes 131 students, highlighted by 26 who earned a perfect 4.00 grade point average (GPA) during the semester.

Students who complete 12 or more credits, earn a semester GPA of 3.75 or above, with no grade below a “C,” are placed on the dean’s list for that semester. Students who complete 12 or more credits and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 to 3.749, with no [...]
