Monkey Business in Calumet will need at least one Garment Embellisher for May through August. They print, embroider, and otherwise adhere designs that they create onto fashion tops, pants, socks, hats, drinkware, stickers, coasters, and similar products using cutting-edge, but simple technology. Products are sold in their own stores in Michigan and Wisconsin.
The ideal person for this job enjoys working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. You MUST be detail-oriented and precise. They will train you for all aspects of the job. You will be working with 1 or 2 other people in a spacious and open environment. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4:30 but can be VERY flexible. No weekends or holiday work required.
At least 20 hours per week in May with 35 to 40 hours per week from mid-June to mid-August. Great job and schedule for a student. They can be very flexible on a schedule if you are a self-starter who can work independently to accurately full fill production orders.

College Park is recruiting a full time entry level Graphic Designer 1 to join our marketing team to help create all kinds of dynamic assets from print to digital marketing.
College Park’s marketing department is located at College Park’s headquarters in Warren, Michigan. However, the team is currently working mostly from home. We are recruiting to fill a full-time entry level Graphic Designer 1 position at this facility. Sponsoring for a visa is not available.
The new team member will have the opportunity to learn an industry that helps people around the world return to a functional life. Our robust, on the job training program, will teach you a wide variety of professional skills, from Injection Molding to CNC Machining. The person must have the ability to adapt to a fast pace, ever-changing work environment, and an exceptional eye for detail.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Graphic Designer I reports to the Marketing Supervisor. Responsibilities include updating existing marketing materials, organizing and maintaining the marketing document control process, production inventory, and fulfillment with outside printers.
This candidate will be responsible for designing all College Park instruction manuals and other technical literature. This candidate will also collaborate with the marketing team to create high quality marketing pieces such as brochures, social media graphics, handouts, and other documents. Special design projects like illustration may be assigned based on skill set.
This candidate should have a strong understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite and basic graphic design principles.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates or Bachelor degree in Graphic Design
- 0 – 2 years work experience preferred
- Intermediate Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Proficient working on a Mac computer
- Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work from home, but be expected to come into the office in the near future (College Park will provide hardware and software).
OTHER DESIRED SKILLS
- Deep understanding of InDesign specifically is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with technical literature is a plus.
- Familiarity with Atlassian/JIRA, Plex and Ziflow is a plus.

The Assistant Merchandising Manager assists with directing all aspects of the merchandising operations including its activities and the relationships between the University, customers, employees, community, and industry.
Coordinates and administers policies and provides supervision and support to all department heads. Monitors the quality of products and services to maximize customer satisfaction. Secures and protects facility assets.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Assist with planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating merchandising operations and procedures.
- Exercise supervisory authority over staff members as well as student employees. Plan and conduct training programs and staff meetings. Confer with staff to plan and coordinate activities, assign and review work, assist with difficult or unusual tasks, and resolve problems. Plan/oversee staffing needs and work schedules.
- Plan, implement, and administer the University Images Operations budgets and Open-To-Buy inventory plan in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Oversee and perform various bookkeeping/accounting tasks such as reconciling daily sales reports, receiving, invoicing and transferring merchandise.
- Plan, purchase, monitor and maintain appropriate selection and quantities of apparel and souvenir merchandise for University Images, the Campus Bookstore and online sales.
- Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity, goal achievement, and/or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
Required Education, Certifications, Licensures (minimum requirements):
- Earned bachelor’s degree in merchandising, business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
