Finlandia Alumni Board announces Textbook Award recipients

2019 Giving Day Luncheon with Finlandia Alumni Board and Textbook Award recipients.

The Finlandia Alumni Board (FAB) has selected 35 students to receive the 2022 Alumni Board Textbook Awards. Resulting directly from the FAB’s annual Giving Day campaign, the application asked each student to share how the award would help in their academic and personal endeavors.

Finlandia Fridays returns for Season 7 on September 2

Finlandia’s Communications Department is excited to announce the return of Finlandia Fridays for the show’s seventh season. Premiering on Friday, September 2, Finlandia President Tim Pinnow will join the show to talk about his vision for FinnU and what he’s looking forward to most with having students back on campus for the fall semester.

Terri Olsen (’94, ’08) becomes new Director of TRIO Student Support Services

Terri Olsen (‘94, ‘08) has been named the new Director of TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) at Finlandia University. A two-time graduate of the institution, Olsen attained an associate degree in business from Suomi College in 1994 and later, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Finlandia in 2008.

Floats & Flags: Volunteer opportunities now open for Parade of Nations 2022

Since 1989, the Houghton and Hancock communities have been celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the Keweenaw. We are excited to continue that tradition on September 17th!

The parade begins at 11 a.m. in Hancock (Quincy Green), crosses the Portage Lift Bridge, and ends at the Dee Stadium. This amazing celebration of unity and culture is open to the entire community, and we hope you will consider participating!
