Hill, a ‘76 graduate of Suomi College became the Alumni Board President in 2018. The Alumni Board is an advisory group to the university, whose mission is “the promotion of the vision, mission, goals, and programs of Finlandia University.”

Finlandia Adopts Canvas as New Learning Management System

Introducing Finlandia’s New Learning Management System: Canvas

 

Finlandia University has adopted a new online learning system for the upcoming 2019-20 school year that will help streamline the learning and grading process. Finlandia University has been named in the top 10 of the 2019 Most Affordable Online Christian Colleges for the online RN-to-BSN program by SR Education Group.

Chassell High School Visits Finlandia University’s International School of Art & Design

In the last year, the International School of Art & Design has welcomed local high schools to visit, tour and experience all that the school has to offer.

Physical Therapist Assistant Program Page Updated

Finlandia University’s physical therapist assistant (PTA) program is the latest recipient of an updated academic program page.

Much like previously updated academic program pages, the physical therapist assistant program page is geared more toward incoming and prospective students. The updated page features videos highlighting the program from the perspective of faculty and alumni. There is also an emphasis placed on visuals throughout the page, showing visitors what to expect from the PTA program.

129 honored on Fall 2018 Dean’s and Honors List

Emily Nguyen reads to local students on Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. Nguyen is a Fall 2018 Dean’s List student.

Finlandia University is proud to announce its Fall 2018 semester Dean’s and Honors List Students. In total 129 students earned honors, including 85 who earned Dean’s List honors for having a Grade Point Average of 3.75 or above.

Meet the 2018-19 TLC/TRIO Tutors

TRIO Tutoring Services is excited to introduce the 2018-19 tutors.

The Tutoring and Learning Center offers all Finlandia students free tutoring for help in many general education courses and some upper level courses. The TLC also offers study skill workshops, study groups, computer literacy development, and the use of a small computer lab. FinnU faculty members utilize the TLC to provide students with study aids such as classroom reserve material, review sheets, and past exams.
