GIVING

SCHOLARSHIPS

Finlandia has two main types of scholarships; annual and endowed. Annual scholarships are paid out using the Finlandia Fund. Endowed scholarships are created for a specific designation or type of student and paid out over a lifetime.

ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS

In contrast to the total payout policy used for annual funds, endowed funds limit spending to a portion of the investment return. Therefore, the principal (your gift) can be invested in longer-term, higher-yielding assets with the objective of providing growth and a hedge against inflation.

If you’re interested in setting up an endowed scholarship, please contact Karin Van Dyke.
