Scholarships
We have partners and donors all over the world helping to make Finlandia University affordable for future students. Our scholarship offerings include a new $4,000 grant available to students graduating from high schools in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and an up to $4,000 scholarship for first-year students who are residents of Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois or Minnesota with at least a 2.25 grade point average. Working for You
Our Financial Aid Staff will work hand-in-hand with you and your family to make sure you receive as many of these financial aid opportunities as possible. Finlandia’s wide range of scholarship opportunities can be combined with other financial awards such as the Pell Grant, SEOG Grant, Michigan Tuition Grant/Michigan Competitive Scholarship, Tuition Incentive Program (TIP), Federal Work Study Program and Guaranteed Direct Federal Loans. Those can combine for more than $30,000 in potential aid.
Rise Together Scholarship – Free Full Tuition
The Rise Together Scholarship is a need-based scholarship that, when combined with federal and state scholarships and grants, covers a student’s entire tuition costs and aligns with Finlandia’s mission of providing affordable higher education to all. The Rise Together Scholarship can be applied to the first two years of study at Finlandia. After the completion of 56 credit hours and/or an associate’s degree, students can easily transfer into a bachelor’s degree program and become eligible for the $10,000 Finnish Strong Scholarship, which can be renewed on an annual basis.
