Finlandia Moving to Online For the Remainder of Semester Beginning Nov. 16

Due to an increase of active COVID-19 cases among students, Finlandia University will transition to remote learning beginning November 16, one week earlier than initially planned. Finlandia is committed to the safety of our students, community, and the communities where students may travel.

Registration for Spring 2021 Classes Now Open to All Students

Registration for spring classes is now underway for all students. Students must communicate with their academic advisor to receive their PIN. This number has been refreshed and is different from the one you would have used to sign up last semester. You can email your advisor as a form of communication at this time to work out your course schedule and to receive your PIN.

Day of Wellness Event Schedule

On November 4, most classes on campus will be canceled so students can focus on their mental health, take a breather, and regroup for the final few weeks of the semester. Dr. Hilary-Joy Virtanen, Assistant Professor of Finnish & Nordic Studies at Finlandia University, will present her research on Yooper stereotypes at Northern Michigan University’s annual Sonderegger Symposium on Upper Peninsula Studies on Friday, November 6. Dia de Muertos Meal on Nov. 3 to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

On Tuesday, November 3rd, a special Dia de Muertos meal hosted by the women’s softball team will celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. The meal was delayed due to COVID-19 challenges this past month, but the good food and festive spirit will pervade!

Business Office Moves to Jutila Center

The Finlandia University Business Office has moved from Old Main to the seventh floor of the Jutila Center. The Business Office is comprised of the Chief Financial Officer, Gary Black, accountants Cyril FoxPetrov and Albert Hammond, and administrative assistant and purchaser Janine Notke.
