Student Senate President Charles Patch kicks off second season of Finlandia Fridays

This week Finlandia Fridays is joined by Student Senate President Charles Patch. The university was introduced to Patch at opening convocation, which took place on August 27, the Sunday before classes started. Dining Services eager for 2017-18 academic year

Tim Nakkula is back at the helm for Finlandia University Dining Services, moving back into the role of director during the summer break. In addition to Nakkula’s move, the department also welcomes new cook Tom Goldstein, food service workers Avery Neal and Terrance Fuller, and cashiers Ashley Nakkula, Kendra Baril and Clancy Tunstall.

Season two of Second Tuesday Recital Series begins September 12

On Tuesday, September 12 Finlandia University Campus Ministry will host the first Second Tuesday Recital Series of the new year. This event features poetry, music, dancing and acting in Finlandia’s Chapel of St. Matthew. The event will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.

Wear Denim on R.A.I.N.N. Day to Support Sexual Assault Survivors

Wear denim on R.A.I.N.N. day, Thursday, September 21 to show support for survivors of sexual assault. In conjunction, campus clubs will host activities at Finlandia Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the It’s On Us event series.

Two U.P. students win 2017 Brule Scholarship

$20,000 scholarship for art students earned by local students

Finlandia’s Medical Assistant program receives continued accreditation

This summer the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) informed Finlandia University of its vote to award continuing accreditation to the university’s Medical Assisting Associate Degree program.

“The commission commends you and your colleagues for your commitment to continuous quality improvement in education, as demonstrated by your participation in program accreditation,” President of the CAAHEP Carolyn O’Daniel, EdD, RRT said in a letter.

The Maki Library invites you to participate in the annual First Year Student Information Literacy survey through the link below.
