It’s On Us Week of Action with Erin Barnett on Finlandia Fridays

This week Finlandia Fridays was visited by Dean of Students Erin Barnett to promote the campus wide It’s On Us campaign. It’s On Us is a national campaign that was started by former Vice President Joe Biden that raises awareness for sexual assault. Finlandia was awarded a grant from the Michigan State Police to advocate the campaign. Your guide to day 1 of Festival Ruska

Festival Ruska kicks off Wednesday, September 27

The color season is nearing its peak in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, and with that we’ve arrived at Festival Ruska 2017! This is meant to be a guide to your day one, which is the busiest day of the third annual festival that’s hosted by Finlandia University.

Mobile Food Pantry in Baraga is tomorrow

Tomorrow the much-anticipated Mobile Food Pantry will take place in the parking lot of Baraga High School. The event will begin at 4:30 p.m.

The Mobile Pantry will contain a variety of foods, including fresh produce. Clients will not have to show identification or proof of income to receive food; however, they will be required to provide basic contact information and affirm that they are in need of food. They are encouraged to bring their own boxes and carts.
