Finlandia Campus Ministry participating in Progressive Dinner on Sunday

Finlandia University’s Campus Ministry Program has been invited to participate in a Progressive Dinner on Sunday as part of a Cooperative Campus Ministries program in association with Michigan Technological University.

Finlandia delegation visits Beihai Art and Design Institute in China

Potential partnership between institutions being discussed

On November 10, 2017, President Dr. Philip Johnson, International School of Art & Design Dean Denise Vandeville, and Dr. Richard Gee, Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice, toured the studios and facilities of the Beihai Art and Design Institute, China. Students invited to Late Night Breakfast & Tutoring Sunday night

On Sunday night the longstanding tradition of Late Night Breakfast will continue, and will once again include a little help from students’ friends in TRIO Student Support Services as Tutoring will be available in Finlandia Hall prior to breakfast. This event is free and all students are encouraged to attend. (Canceled) – Medical Assistant students hosting “Open Lab” Wednesday from 1-4 p.m.

Students from Finlandia University’s Certified Medical Assistant program are hosting an open lab on Wednesday, December 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Nikander 30. The students are practicing taking vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight and BMI. All employees and students are invited to stop by anytime between 1 and 4 p.m.

Student Reminder: How to renew your Service Scholarship

Students who were awarded the new Service Scholarship for the fall 2017 semester may renew it for the spring 2018 semester as long as they have completed and reported their eight service hours by December 15, 2017.

To report hours, simply fill out the Service Hours Form.

Relaxing events scheduled starting Sunday

Finlandia University students are invited to one of several relaxing and fun events during Finals Week. These events, which includes a visit from dogs, coffee, snacks and yoga, are being hosted by the Wellness Committee. These events are all free and open to all students.

The Sulo & Aileen Maki Library at Finlandia University has expanded its hours of operation throughout the final two weeks of the semester to help students better prepare for finals week.
