Phyllis Fredendall talks fiber, fashion and Brule Scholarship

Phyllis Fredendall, who is in charge of the fiber and fashion design program at Finlandia, stopped by this week to represent the International School of Art and Design on Finlandia Fridays. Finlandia University Gallery announces holiday hours

Finlandia University Gallery will be closed from December 23 to January 3, 2018 for the holidays. The current 27th Contemporary Finnish American Artist Series Exhibition featuring the ceramic of Kristin Pavelka will be on display through January 13. The gallery will resume regular hours Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8 a.m. to  4:30 p.m., Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 12 to 4 p.m. on January 4.

Event to focus on online nursing program and new transfer pricing

Finlandia’s effort to become the most transfer friendly college will be highlighted on Tuesday, December 19 with a Transfer Open House from 4 to 8 p.m. in the lobby of the Jutila Center. On hand that night will be Transfer Coordinator Craig Kangas and RN-BSN Program Director Mark Miron.

NCHA Offensive Player of the Week Sierra Meiners skates by to talk women’s hockey and nursing

Senior nursing student and women’s hockey captain, Sierra Meiners visited Finlandia Fridays this week to discuss the women’s hockey team and her final year in the nursing program.
