I have been a physical therapist since 1995, mostly working in the outpatient setting with experience in home health, long term care, skilled care, wound care and acute care. My passion is orthopedics and manual therapy applications. In 2010, I earned my certification in integrated manual therapy. I have loved working with PTA and PT students in their clinical rotations since I started as a therapist. I had been serving as the Director of Rehab Services of Helen Newberry Joy Hospital since 2003 prior to accepting the position of program chair/associate professor here at Finlandia University. I am most looking forward to working with students on a full time basis and am ecstatic about stepping into the role of instructor for a profession I have loved for the past 20 years. My husband Mike and I have 4 children ranging in ages from 10 to 20. The kids and I are most excited to be cheering for our Lions as we love to attend sporting events.
Hard work and perseverance are not only character builders, they are the stuff dreams are made of.
