BA in English and Race & Ethnic Studies from St. Olaf College
Born and raised in the Upper Peninsula, Kat graduated from Kingsford High School before attending St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Race & Ethnic Studies. During her time at St. Olaf, she was on the board of the Ski and Snowboard Club, a participating member of Norseman Band, and a member of the Wendell Berry Honor House. Her favorite memories include working social media and playing music for hockey and basketball games.
Outside of her professional life, Kat enjoys doing anything outdoors, as long as she's accompanied by her dog named Goose. Some of their favorite activities include hiking, chasing hockey pucks, and watching the sunset while eating Culver's ice cream. Kat is also an avid lover of Romantic and Victorian era literature, as well as the history of the Keweenaw.
