TRiO Student Support Services

Incoming Participants

To become a TRiO Participant you must complete the following steps.

1. You must be eligible under the following guidelines

• you are a first generation college student;                        

          and/or

• you have financial need

           or

• you have a physical or learning disability                          

           and

• you have academic need.

2. Fill out the TRiO Student Support Services application

3. Complete the Financial Literacy 101 Program online   (www.financialliteracy101.org contact Terri Olsen or Jody Maloney for Pass Code)

4. Make an appointment to meet with a TRiO/SSS Academic Contact Person for your intake interview

• Be informed of the services that TRiO/SSS offers
• Discuss what services would benefit you
• Discuss a support plan for the year

You are not fully enrolled in TRiO Student Support Services until these steps are completed

Slots are limited.  Fall 2011, the TRiO Student Support Services program was full by the end September.

You will have opportunities during orientation to make your appointment.  Stop by the office and make your appointment as soon as possible.

Incoming students, who receive application packets in the mail, do not wait.  If you are interest in participating in the program return your application ASAP. 

Remember you are not a participant until you have completed all four steps.
