TRiO Student Support Services

Tutoring

Students who are part of our TRiO/SSS program at Finlandia will be given preference to set up appointments with specific tutors in the Teaching Learning Center (TLC). TRiO/SSS students are also able to reserve any of the computers available in the TLC.

Professional and Peer Tutors

Our staff is unique in that we have a combination of professionals and upper level Finlandia students, or peer tutors.  Each has a lot of knowledge to share about life on campus in addition to their academic area of expertise.  Please do not hesitate to ask them for help.

Tutoring Sessions

Both scheduled appointments and walk-ins are available. Appointments are recommended and can be set up for the entire semester, around a project or paper, or a single visit.

Friendly Atmosphere

Our peer and professional tutors enjoy being in the TLC and look forward to offering help, so expect to feel welcomed right away when you come inside.

Hours of Operation

Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Evening Hours: Vary by semester

At least one professional tutor is available during all of our operating hours.
