Title: Head Coach, Football
Position Summary: Finlandia University seeks a qualified and dynamic individual to establish and lead a new DIII football program for our campus and community. The Head Football Coach must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to work effectively with staff, faculty, and other members of Finlandia’s community and constituents of the Upper Peninsula. As a team player within the athletics department, the Head Football Coach will foster student personal growth and development as well academic and athletic achievement. The Head Football Coach’s primary emphasis for the position is recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, and the administration of a competitive NCAA Division III football program while adhering to all NCAA and/or conference rules for the sport of football.
Position Description: Head Coach, Men’s Ice Hockey
Title: Head Coach, Men’s Ice Hockey
Position Summary: The Head Coach is responsible for the development and implementation of a successful intercollegiate men’s ice hockey program by fulfilling specific job responsibilities in the intercollegiate athletic department. The Head Coach is expected to work as a team-player with primary responsibilities of coordinating all aspects of our men’s hockey program and adhering to all NCAA and MCHA rules for the sport of hockey. The Head Coach should foster student personal growth and development as well academic and athletic achievement. The Head Coach is viewed as a mentor and advocate of equity and diversity within the athletic department.
Position Description: Overnight Assistant, Summer Program
Title: Overnight Assistant (OA)
Position Summary: The Overnight Assistant (OA) is responsible for the overall care, safety, and well-being of all of the participants in the summer program. The OA will be on overnight duty, generally four nights per week from 11:30 p.m. - 8:30 a.m. along with a resident assistant (RA).

Title: Resident Assistant
Position Summary: Resident Assistant (RA) is responsible for the overall care, safety, and well-being of all of the participants in the summer program, with special attention to those students assigned to your core group. The number of students assigned to an RA will vary between four and seven, depending on the number of students attending. The program employs both male and female RA’s to adequately serve the gender-diverse program participants.
