Finlandia Nursing receives accreditation through 2032

Finlandia University Nursing is pleased to announce that its program has received national reaccreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The program offers two tracks, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an Online RN-BSN Completion Track. The renewed accreditation was granted for 10 years, indicating that the program has consistently demonstrated quality and effective educational practices.

Hancock, MI– Intelligent.com, a trusted resource for online and on-campus program rankings and higher education planning, has included Finlandia University in its list of programs assessed for 2022. Irina Sergeyeva Named 2021 Board of Trustees Rising Star Faculty Award Recipient

The Board of Trustees honored Irina Sergeyeva with the 2021 Rising Star Faculty Award at Finlandia’s Spring Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, April 29.

Sergeyeva serves as Finlandia’s RN to BSN Program Coordinator and now Associate Professor of Nursing. She joined the university in August 2015 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from the University of Phoenix.

FinnU Nursing ranked a top program in Michigan by Nursing Schools Almanac for second straight year

Finlandia University’s nursing program was ranked a top program in Michigan for the second year in a row by Nursing Schools Almanac. RN-BSN Student Spotlight: Chris Plourde

For Chris Plourde, a nursing supervisor at Norlite Nursing Center and Rehab, the opportunity to pursue her online bachelor’s of science in nursing was a long time coming. This summer, Plourde enrolled in Finlandia University’s online RN-BSN program.

Alumni Spotlight: Kelly Aho, BSN

Kelly Aho dreamed of advancing her career through the online RN-BSN program. After graduating in December 2017, she earned a promotion.

When Kelly Aho (’94, ’17) first came to Suomi College in the 1990s, she wanted to be a teacher.

She graduated as an RN instead.
