Sara Martin highlighted in Ponsse Network Bulletin

Finlandia University is proud to have once again have a student from the International School of Business interning with Ponsse Corporation in Finland. This year’s intern is junior Sara Martin, a business management major who also plays on Finlandia’s hockey team and serves on Student Senate.

In 2015 Finlandia University senior Micah Laban was the first Finlandia student to intern with the Finnish company. Read Laban’s story in the Ponsse Network Bulletin from last summer.

Sara Martin from Finlandia University, Michigan

Sara Martin is from the United States, and will be interning here at Ponsse Oyj for the next three weeks. Sara was accepted as an intern with Ponsse through the Einari Vidgren Foundation.

Sara Martin at PonsseBefore arriving to Vieremä, Sara spent two weeks at the North America headquarters in Rhinelander Wisconsin doing a number of different tasks and attending different events. She spent time with each member of the office team, as well as some other areas of the business. While in Vieremä, Sara has one main project she will be working on regarding feedback that has been received from social media in communications organization. Along with her project she will also be attending events and diving deeper into different aspects of Ponsse as a whole.

Sara is originally from Colorado, but attends University in Michigan. Sara will be graduating from University in May of 2017, with a bachelor degree in business management. After graduation she hopes to get into either real estate or construction management.

This is Saras first time in Finland, and she is very excited to learn about the culture and maybe even a few Finnish words! Sara is very grateful for the opportunity she has received and is excited to gain more insight into the world of business through Ponsse!
