North Wind Books Still Open for Business

September 11, 2020

This week on Finlandia Fridays, host Olivia Myers is joined by Bookstore Manager April Stevens to talk about North Wind Books (NWB) in the time of Covid. Stevens and Myers discuss how NWB avoided long lines during the start of the semester through a seamless textbook pickup program.

“We were trying to avoid students waiting in lines any longer than possible and it seemed to work out good,” said Stevens regarding the textbook reservation process. “We’re actually looking forward to keeping this active for using so we can help speed students through the process of purchasing their books.”

The pair also discussed current hours and curbside pickup, Covid-19 precautions their taking, popular items that are flying off the shelves and the joy of seeing customers again.

“We’re trying to abide by all the rules and still allow people to visit our store because we’re happy to have them come in,” said Stevens.

North Wind Books is currently operating under reduced hours. North Wind Books will be open Monday-Friday 10am – 6pm and Saturday 10am – 4pm until further notice. Online purchases can be made at any time.
