Missouri college names Klaver president

Lenny KlaverFinlandia University Vice President for Institutional Advancement Lenny Klaver has accepted the position of President at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri. He will begin in his new role Monday, May 16.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to have served this quaint, interesting and growingly diverse institution of higher learning,” Klaver said Wednesday in a letter to Finlandia employees, Finlandia Alumni Board members and Finlandia’s Board of Trustees. “I depart with best wishes for continued progress and enlightened minds, heightened spirits and plenty of sisu.”

Klaver’s new position will take him closer to his family in Iowa and Nebraska. Klaver joined Finlandia in the role of Vice President in the fall of 2013 after more than 30 years working in higher education.
