Kotila hosting talk on self publishing on May 5

Coffee Talk with Pamela Kotila

The Copper Country Community Arts Center is hosting a Coffee Talk with Finlandia University alumna and artist Pamela Kotilla on Saturday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Kotilla, a comic creator and artist will share her personal experiences with crowdfunding and self-publishing. She will focus heavily how to launch a Kickstarter campaign, find a printer and prepare work for print.

The event is free and open to the public. Coffee will be be provided by KC Bonkers in Hancock. For more details and to RSVP, please visit the Copper Country Community Arts Center’s Facebook event page.

About Pamela Kotilla

Kotilla graduated from Finlandia’s International School of Art & Design in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Fashion/Apparel Design and Textiles. She’s held a number of positions at various organizations throughout her career, including being an adjunct instructor at FinnU and an assistant language teacher for Hita City BOE in Japan. She also started and owned her own fashion design company, SYR+ISM. Kotila currently works as a game artist: colorist for Ododon Games. She is also a freelance fashion sketch artist and comic artist/writer.
