Dostaler joins Finlandia’s admissions staff

Finlandia University is excited to welcome Kelly Dostaler to the university’s family as the new coordinator of admissions operations. Dostaler began her duties Monday, June 13. She is taking over the role previously held by Stacy Froese, who is taking over the role of accountant and accounts payable specialist in Finlandia’s business office.

“The coordinator of admissions operations position plays an integral role in working with various campus constituents and driving our overall enrollment goals,” Director of Admissions Travis Hanson said. “Kelly’s experience fits perfectly for that role and we are excited to have her join us here in admissions.”

Dostaler, a Calumet native, previously worked at Koppers Performance Chemicals Company and River Valley Bank. She holds an associate’s degree from Gogebic Community College.

“I am excited about the opportunity ahead of me to utilize my years of experience and broad skillset,” Dostaler said. “Finlandia University has been a key part of this community as far back as I can remember, and I’m happy to be joining a group of great people at the university.”

Outside of work Dostaler loves to limitless recreational opportunities provided by Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, including snowmobiling, camping, kayaking and downhill skiing.
