This week during First Thursday Dr. Jorma Kalliokoski was recognized and thanks for his generous support of Finlandia University’s International School of Art & Design and Sulo & Aileen Maki Library. Dr. Kalliokoski was presented with certificate for his donations over the past 12 years.

“We had a wonderful time at the special first Thursday ISAD luncheon for Dr. Kalliokoski,” Head Librarian Rebecca Daly said. “We were able to acknowledge the contributions of Dr. Kalliokoski to the Maki library for Finnish and other art and design books for over a dozen years. Dr. Kalliokoski enjoyed catching up with old friends, including former Maki librarians, Marjory Johnston and Jan Dalquist, along with Dan and Laurel Maki. We thoroughly enjoyed the Reflections Art Gallery and Dr. Kalliokoski enjoyed hearing about what projects the art students are currently working on and what is in the future for ISAD. Thanks to all that attended and a special thanks to Phyllis Fredendal and Denise Vandeville for making this possible.”

Photos from the event can be found on the Finlandia University Facebook page.
