Everything you need to know about Parade of Nations 2022

Ever had Indian food? How about African? Bangladeshi? You can taste all those cuisines and more at this year’s Parade of Nations on Saturday, September 17.

The Parade of Nations starts at 11 a.m. at Quincy Green in Hancock. Floats and marchers with flags and banners will walk east down Quincy Street, cross the Portage Lift Bridge, then proceed east down Shelden Avenue through downtown Houghton. The Riku Scholarship is officially back, and two lucky students have the opportunity to seek out a $1,000 scholarship to don the “mane” during the Fall 2022 semester.

Terri Olsen (‘94, ‘08) has been named the new Director of TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) at Finlandia University. A two-time graduate of the institution, Olsen attained an associate degree in business from Suomi College in 1994 and later, a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Finlandia in 2008.
