Campus Ministry seeking donations for The Table
September 15, 2016Donations are still being accepted for The Table: A Student Needs Pantry located in the Chapel of St. Matthew. They can be dropped off at the Campus Pastor’s Office in the basement of the chapel at anytime.
“Thank you to all dropping donations off,” Campus Pastor Soren Schmidt said. “The needs pantry and the students thank you. We have consistent usage of the pantry, and items continue to need replenishing.”
While any donations are accepted, below is a list of our focus for the next two weeks:
- Toiletries (toothbrush, paste, soap, deodorant, toilet paper)
- Cleaning supplies (dish soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, disinfectant wipes, etc.)
- Seasonings (salt, pepper, etc.)
- Juices
- Dry Milk (powdered Milk)
- Breakfast bars/granola bars
- Canned veggies & fruit
Grateful students in need utilize the pantry on a regular basis.Any and all help for collecting donations is greatly appreciated.
Donation boxes will soon be placed around campus at a later date.
Reminder: Soup and Meet
1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 5 – 6 p.m. Campus Ministry hosts Soup & Meet, a meal & evening worship. The next one is Wednesday, September 21. All are welcome. Come on down – lower level of the Chapel. Below is the menu
- Burgers & Brats
- Soup 1: Creamy Chicken & Wild Rice
- Soup 2: Tofu Miso Ramen
- Veg: Fresh Veggie Tray
- Side: YTBD
- Raspberry lemonade, Coffee, tea varieties
Meal at 5 p.m., prayer service at 5:30. Service will be “Holden Evening Prayer ” – a wonderful candle-lit, quiet service of song and prayer.
