My decision to apply and attend Finlandia University did not come until close to the beginning of the fall term. Deciding to leave home to pursue your degree can be an intimidating, yet an exciting moment in your life. I can tell you with confidence that choosing to study here will help open your career choices, and, more importantly, transform how you think and live.

It worked for me, and it can for you too. 

I am originally from Haiti and migrated to Florida to live with my father. After I had graduated high school, I did not have my plans set out to what my next moves were going to be for the future. But all that changed when I received an e-mail from my former volleyball coach at Finlandia. Then lights came on, and they have been on ever since. It was very daring of me to drop everything I knew behind to pursue my degree at a school in a small town that was the very opposite of everything I knew my whole life. My decision to attend Finlandia University has been nothing less than rewarding and full of opportunities. I’ve met friends and had experiences that completely changed my life and altered my outlook on my future. It’s an experience I wouldn’t trade for anything.
