Alum Paige Gwyn hosting summer youth art camp in Calumet

Summer Youth Art Immersion: Wild 4 Art 2018 will take place at the Calumet Art Center on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. beginning Saturday, June 30. Youth nine and over will have an introduction to various art mediums that incorporate science, math and history. Classes will include drawing, painting, weaving (fiber art), zining (drawing + design thinking) and intermedia as a whole.

Classes are taught by Finlandia University International School of Art & Design alum Paige Gwyn, a certified art teacher and the new Executive Director of the Calumet Art Center. Class size is limited for students to have time for one-on-one mentoring with the instructor.

Class fee is $155 per student. Scholarships are available. Pre-registration and payment in full must be made prior to first day of class. Closed toed, flat shoes are required for all classes.
