MarketingThe BBA-Marketing concentration is an ideal choice for students who like to interact with people, are intrigued by human behavior, and like being rewarded for what they do. 

It involves the application of psychology, sociology, technology, anthropology, and business principles to the question of determining what people will buy. 

Marketing leads to careers related to general marketing strategy, marketing research, new product development, product and brand management, customer relations, promotion and advertising, e-commerce marketing, consumer behavior, planning and event marketing related to sports and the arts.  You can work with manufacturer and retailer marketing departments, market research firms, and advertising agencies, and other employers needing marketing generalists.

You will master essential marketing concepts and receive a solid foundation in business theories and human behavior. 

The marketing curriculum includes courses in marketing principles, advertising, accounting, economics, organizational management and financial management, and psychology or sociology. For especially creative students, courses in Finlandia's International School of Art and Design provide backgrounds in digital imagery, publications, and graphic design, which will also help you acquire technical presentation skills.

Electives (9 credits): In consultation with your advisor, select any nine credits of BUS/ECN/PSY/SOC/COM/ARD courses; six credits must be numbered at the 300 or 400 level. Students in the marketing concentration should take CPT 202 Digital Applications and Technology for Life as an elective.
