Teaching and Interests: Currently teaching the theory and clinical components for Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and Pharmacology at the sophomore level, clinical for Nursing Management and Leadership at the senior level, and Spirituality in Health Care. Interests include ethics in healthcare, cultural dynamics in nursing, and teaching-learning theory.
Education: Mr. Miron earned his Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Suomi College (1994), Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from University of Phoenix (2006), and his Masters of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix (2008).
Professional Experience: Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing, correctional facility, Medical-Surgical, and Intensive Care nursing.
Professional Development: Member Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), Michigan Nurses Association (MNA), American Nurses Association (ANA), Board of Directors Phoenix House, Certified American Red Cross Disaster Nurse.
Committee Assignments: Institutional Distance/E-Learning Development Committee, Nursing Curriculum Committee, and CHS Marketing Committee (2009-10)
Personal Intersts: Cedar, music, quality tools, building things, tearing things apart, deciding which is a better course of action, anything that involves being outdoors, to include but not limited to, skiing, fishing, biking, softball, canoeing, cruising two tracks, and marveling at the night sky.
Personal Perspective: Education is the life-long pursuit of better ways of learning, always teaching us how little we really know. It is a privilege to be activley involved.
