Finnish Folk Music Camp Free Community Concerts Are July 17-19

HANCOCK, MI -Finlandia University's second annual Finnish Folk Music Camp will present a series of three free community concerts July 17 to 19, in Hancock.

On Tuesday, July 17, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Finnish American Heritage Center, Music Camp faculty members will perform. Featured musicians are the Kivajat Dancers, Kaivama, Rich Koski, Arne Salli, Carl Rahkonen, Ralph Tuttila, Don Reinholm, Kay Seppala, Celia Jones, Randy Seppala, Steve Niemi, and Tanya Stanaway.

On Wednesday, July 18, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the Finnish American Heritage Center, the Music Camp will host a Finnish Dance Evening featuring the groups "White Water" and "Wil Kilpela and Friends."

On Thursday, July 19, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Music Camp students and faculty will present a concert.

The annual Finnish Folk Music Camp is organized by Finlandia University's Finnish Council in America and the Finnish American Heritage Center.
