Author Jeff Foltz to Discuss "Birkebeiner" Novel Monday, Feb. 27, 4:15 p.m.

HANCOCK, MI - Author Jeff Foltz will discuss his book, "Birkebeiner, The Novel" on Monday, February 27, at 4:15 p.m. at Finlandia University's Mannerheim Hall, Hancock. The public is invited to attend the free event.

Foltz will discuss the historical roots of Norway's annual Birkebeiner ski race and describe his own writing journey in shaping historical facts and Norwegian lore into his novel.

Foltz received a B.A. in history from Marietta College and an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast Program. He lives in Camden, Maine.

Foltz's talk will take place in Mannerheim Central, Finlandia's former cafeteria in Mannerheim Hall, 705 Franklin Street. Barrier-free access is available. Please contact Terri Martin at 487-7512 prior to the event to discuss accessibility needs.
