Upward Bound

Upward Bound (UB) at Finlandia University is designed to stimulate and motivate high school students to pursue a program of post-secondary education who come from modest income backgrounds and/or families where their parents do not have a bachelor's degree.  The program is 100% federally grant funded through the U.S. Department of Education. UB serves students in the three-county area of Baraga, Houghton, and Keweenaw, Michigan.

Joining Upward Bound has never been easier. Below is our eligibility survey this is as easy as 1-2-3!

1. All you have to do is download and print off the form (click below)
   • Or you can request a paper copy from your guidance counselor
2. You and a parent/guardian fill in the required areas
3. Mail or fax the form to the UB office (your school counselor can help with both)
