General Fees


Although students have the opportunity to register for courses at different times, official financial check-in occurs when a student has paid or completed satisfactory financial arrangements with Finlandia University for all tuition, fees, and room and board charges (including previous balances). Students who fail to check-in during the official, published semester check-in day (see the University Calendar) will be charged a $50 late check-in fee.

Matriculation Fee

A one-time $100 matriculation fee is charged to all degreeseeking students (new, transfer, readmits) in their first semester of attendance. This fee covers administrative costs incurred throughout each student’s education.

General Fee

All regular, enrolled students are charged a general fee of $250 per semester ($500 per year) to cover costs such as instructional technology, student activities.

Audit Fee

The non-refundable fee to audit a course is $75 per credit, plus any additional fees. Audit fees for Art & Design courses is $120/course, plus any additional fees.

Identification Cards

All students, resident or commuter, will be issued a student identification card. If the card is lost, the student must purchase a replacement card for $10 at the Campus Safety & Security office.
