Contemporary Finnish American Artist Series:
Christian K. Narkiewicz-Laine
Finnish-American-Lithuanian Christian Narkiewicz-Laine is one of Finland's leading conceptual artists and social and
political activist, working in the United States and Europe. His work is often
openly critical of the American government's stance on democracy and human
rights. Celebrated for its lyricism and stark poetry,
Narkiewicz-Laine's artwork challenges his audience to question their
assumptions. Employing thought-provoking
content, non-traditional art processes, ephemeral media that engage our senses,
Narkiewicz-Laine makes us think. For
this exhibit Narkiewicz-Laine will exhibit new
paintings, sculpture, photography, and video.
